There is no cell phone reception between Nuwekloof pass and Patensie, however Whatsapp works in the Bokloof vicinity.
Also there are no ATM machines in the Kloof and nobody who takes card payments.
We are on the R332. 70 km from Willowmore, gravel road, 1h15min. From Willowmore we are accessible to any vehicle.
We are 140km from Patensie – gravel road of which a 20km section is in extremely bad condition. It will take you at least 4 hours from us to Patensie and your vehicle must have good ground clearance and at least diff lock.
If you are traveling through the reserve (east of Zandvlakte to west of Cambria) you will be required to pay a day visitors fee and it is best to confirm with us or Baviaans Tourism (044 9231 702) that the road is passable.
